Karol Lannes não escondeu a emoção após a confirmação de que estará em “Avenida Brasil 2”. Aos 26 anos de idade, a atriz retomará Ágata, personagem que interpretou ainda criança na novela de 2012, e revelou que já estava envolvida com o projeto havia cerca de um mês e meio antes de a novidade se tornar pública.
Em um vídeo publicado no perfil do Instagram da Globo, Karol brincou com os seguidores ao dizer que, a partir de agora, gostaria de ser chamada de “senhora”, em referência ao diálogo icônico entre Nina, vivida por Débora Falabella, e Carminha, interpretada por Adriana Esteves. Na sequência, admitiu o esforço para não revelar a informação antes do anúncio oficial. “Vocês não têm ideia do quão difícil foi esconder isso por tanto tempo, gente”, afirmou. Segundo ela, o compromisso com a produção fez com que precisasse despistar até pessoas próximas durante as últimas semanas.

A atriz também contou que chegou a viajar secretamente ao Rio de Janeiro e descreveu como foi retornar aos Estúdios Globo depois de 14 anos. Para Karol, o reencontro com o local onde viveu um dos trabalhos mais conhecidos da carreira também despertou sentimentos ligados às inseguranças da profissão.
Ao lembrar do momento, ela afirmou que decidiu deixar os medos de lado. “Quando eu pisei na Globo a primeira vez, depois de 14 anos, eu deixei de lado todas as inseguranças, todos os medos”, contou.
Karol explicou ainda que nunca abandonou a atuação e que aproveitou os últimos anos para se desenvolver profissionalmente. Agora, vê o retorno à televisão em uma personagem de maior espaço como uma oportunidade de mostrar uma nova fase da carreira. “Voltar a ter uma personagem com um destaque maior, pra eu poder realmente me desafiar”, declarou. A atriz acrescentou que ainda estava tentando assimilar o anúncio oficial e agradeceu especialmente aos fãs pelo apoio recebido.
Para ela, a mobilização do público teve peso emocional importante neste novo momento. Karol disse ter percebido uma torcida que não havia sentido com a mesma intensidade anteriormente.
Ágata pode ganhar mais espaço na continuação
Na primeira “Avenida Brasil”, Ágata era filha de Carminha, interpretada por Adriana Esteves, e de Max, vivido por Marcello Novaes. Apesar disso, cresceu acreditando que Tufão, personagem de Murilo Benício, era seu pai.
A relação da menina com Carminha era marcada por constantes agressões verbais. A vilã frequentemente usava o corpo e a aparência da filha como forma de humilhá-la, fazendo da convivência entre as duas uma das representações de gordofobia dentro do núcleo familiar da novela. Na continuação, a relação entre mãe e filha deve voltar a ocupar espaço na história. O reencontro das personagens poderá também mostrar o que mudou entre as duas depois dos acontecimentos que encerraram a trama original.
Apesar das dificuldades vividas por causa da popularidade da personagem, Karol afirma que nunca se incomodou em ser reconhecida como “a filha da Carminha”. Ao comentar o retorno, ela reforçou a ligação que mantém com o papel mesmo depois de tantos anos.

A Globo anunciou na última terça-feira (15/9) os primeiros nomes confirmados para a nova produção. Além de Karol Lannes, atores importantes do elenco original, como Adriana Esteves, Débora Falabella, Murilo Benício e Cauã Reymond, também estarão de volta. “Avenida Brasil 2” está prevista para chegar à faixa das 21h em 2027.
